Mark GoldfederMark Goldfeder, MS, NRP

Mark is an Acting Lieutenant/Firefighter/Paramedic with Tarpon Springs Fire Rescue and has 25 years of combined fire and EMS experience.  He is certified by the Florida State Fire College in Fire Officer I and II, Live Fire Training Instructor I, Fire Instructor III, Pump Operator, and Firesafety Inspector I and II.  Mark is also certified by the National Board for Fire Service Professional Qualifications and is an Emergency Vehicle Operations Course instructor.  He holds a Master of Science Degree in Organizational Leadership from Norwich University and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He has over 20 years of teaching experience, is a Training Center Faculty for the American Heart Association, and has prior experience as an ACLS instructor and National Association of Emergency Medical Dispatchers certification. Besides being active in our classroom, Mark has been published by Fire Engineering and has taught at Fire Rescue East and the 2014 Safety and Health Conference. Mark also develops and creates course curriculum and is active in public speaking on fire service history, tradition, and organizational culture.

 

Rich ShermanRichard Sherman

Rich is one of the founding instructors with Five Bugles Institute. He has over 20 years of experience with Fire and EMS and is Certified by the Florida State Fire College in Fire Officer I, Fire Instructor I, Live Fire Training Instructor I, Fire Safety Inspector I, and is a State Certified Pump Operator.  Rich is equivalently certified by the National Board for Fire Service Professional Qualifications, a BLS Instructor for the American Heart Association, certified by the National Association of Emergency Medical Dispatchers, and a State of Florida EMS Dispatcher of the Year.

 

 

 

 

Susan TammeSUSAN TAMME, MS, EMT-P

Susan is the Chief of Training with Tampa Fire Rescue and has over 20 years of combined fire and EMS experience.  She is certified by the Florida State Fire College as a Hazardous Materials Technician, Firesafety Inspector, Fire Instructor III, and Live Fire Instructor.  Susan is a VFIS Emergency Vehicle Operations Course Instructor and an IAFF Train-the-Trainer Hazmat Technician Instructor. Chief Tamme has been a State certified Paramedic and has been teaching Basic Life Support for the American Heart Association for over 15 years.  She is a member of Florida USAR Task Force 3 and has been deployed to several major hurricanes.  Susan has an Associate of Science degree in Emergency Medicine from St. Petersburg College, and Associate of Science degree in Fire Science from Hillsborough Community College, a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Studies/Public Administration from Eckerd College, and a Master of Science in Education from University of South Florida.

 

 

Jason HaynesJason Haynes, AS, EMT-P

Jason is a Lieutenant with Palm Harbor Fire Rescue and is a 20 year veteran of the fire and EMS service. Lt. Haynes holds and Associates Degree in Fire Science from St. Petersburg College and is certified by the Florida State Fire College as a Fire Officer, Fire Instructor I, Firesafety Inspector, Fire Investigator, and Pump Operator. Lt. Haynes is a State of Florida certified Paramedic and a Basic Life Support instructor for the American Heart Association. Lt. Haynes was also on the National and International award winning extrication team for Palm Harbor Fire Rescue.

 

 

Scott ShoreScott Shore, BAS, EMT-P, EMD

Scott has worked in the fire service since becoming a volunteer firefighter in 1986. He is a retired Fire Lieutenant from Clearwater Fire/Rescue; he is also a retired Senior Master Sgt (SMSgt) with the United States Air Force Reserve serving in Desert Shield/Storm, Operation Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom. Scott holds Associate of Science degrees in Emergency Medicine and Fire Science. Scott also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Administration from St. Petersburg College. Scott is Certified as by the Florida State Fire College as a Fire Officer I & II, Fire Inspector I & II, Fire Investigator I, Fire Instructor III, and Live Fire Training Instructor. Scott is also certified as a Public Safety Dispatcher and Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD). Scott currently works in the private sector as a fire inspector for a local engineering firm, but continues to serve the first response community with Pinellas County EMS.

 

Rick WendlingRICK WENDLING, BaS, EMT-P

Rick is a retired Firefighter/Paramedic with over 22 years of Fire and EMS experience. Rick holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Safety Administration and an Associate of Science degree in Fire Science from St. Petersburg College. Rick is certified by the Florida State Fire College as a Fire Officer I and II, Fire Instructor III, Fire Safety Inspector I, Public Information Officer and Pump Operator. He also holds equivalent certifications by the National Board for Fire Professional Fire Service Qualifications. Rick is an Emergency Vehicle Operator Instructor for VFIS, has over 10 years teaching experience, and significant background and experience developing and revising Standard Operating Procedures for various agencies.
